We also provide an inpatient service, a Lupus "screen" for those patients who need a full assessment, including comprehensive tests of kidney, cardiovascular and immunological status.

Professor Hughes and his team are dedicated to finding a cure for lupus. A research facility has been established and work is on-going to discover ways of improving the outlook and lifestyle of lupus patients.

General Rheumatology

Seven of the medical team are consultant rheumatologists and all are teaching hospital physicians. Following our successful first year of The London Lupus Centre, we are now in a position to broaden our referral practice to general rheumatology. We are offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic assessment for all rheumatic diseases, as a well as a rapid appointment system (usually within 48 hours).

In addition to seeing outpatient referrals in London Bridge Hospital, we are also able to see rheumatology referrals in the newly opened and superbly equipped clinic in Old Broad Street (in the City of London).
